Dave Sandbach has a history of working at the creative / technical interface, where he has repeatedly demonstrated the effectiveness of balancing technical, creative and commercial elements as an integral part of the development process.

He has been involved in creating value from intellectual property for over 15 years. He is named inventor of over 90 patents and applications worldwide, from over 30 patent families; the majority of which have been commercially licensed.

Originally from an arts background, he worked for several years in Film/TV special effects; moving into product and technology design and development 11 years ago.

As co-founder and CTO of technology start-up Eleksen Ltd; he directed the full spectrum of commercial implementation - creating the initial concepts, through business development and capital investment stages to first volume production. Eleksen is now the world leader in smart-fabric technology and products.

Dave set up IOGI in 2004. IOGI continues to work periodically with Eleksen on selected projects, and is currently involved with several new corporate ventures and start-ups.

Sound management of Intellectual Property is the backbone of new ventures. David has developed comprehensive systems for maximising the value of intellectual property. In the US, such systems are known collectively as intellectual asset management, though to date this practice is seldom employed in Europe.
